With regard to the EU Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), BLUME2000 SE has set itself the goal of reducing the CO2 emissions of its vehicle fleet to a minimum through consistent fleet electrification. When looking for a suitable solution, the primary aim was to efficiently support its own employees in switching to an electric car and to minimise the effort involved in billing charging processes.
Fleet electrification poses many challenges for BLUME2000's fleet management. On the one hand, over 100 company car drivers have to be individually advised on all the relevant special features of e-mobility as part of their switch to an electric car. This starts with the electric car, but also includes completely new aspects such as choosing and installing the right charging station at the employee's home. After all, for many employees, the electric company car is their first electric car. Questions that arise during the changeover end up with the BLUME2000 fleet manager and cause additional work.
On the other hand, due to the size of the fleet, an appropriately dimensioned charging infrastructure with initially over 40 charging points at BLUME2000‘s operating sites and many more charging stations at employees’ homes must be efficiently administered. Charging processes are to be recorded in a legally compliant manner, billed on a consolidated basis and employees who charge their company cars at home are to be reimbursed automatically.
To minimise the complexity of fleet electrification and simplify the associated operational processes, BLUME2000 uses both the e-mobilio employee portal and the e-mobilio billing system.
The e-mobilio employee portal is the focal point for all matters relating to electric mobility for BLUME2000 company car authorisation holders. Here, employees not only find AI-based, personalised advice on selecting the right electric company car and the ideal home charging station – both of which are tailored to BLUME2000's car and wallbox policy. The portal can also be used to initiate many other services, such as the professional installation of the wallbox at the employee's home and ordering a personalised charging card for charging on the move, at home and at the site.
The e-mobilio billing backend system additionally enables the legally compliant and fully automated billing of all charging processes – at BLUME2000‘s business locations, at employees’ homes and on the road at over 600,000 charging points throughout Europe. This also includes the kWh-accurate recording and individual reimbursement of home charging costs to BLUME2000 company car drivers. Employees can conveniently enter their electricity contract in the employee portal, whereby the working price shown in the electricity contract is automatically transferred to the billing system.

With the e-mobilio employee portal , not only has the consulting effort per employee been reduced by over 80%, but other administrative processes, such as the management and documentation of all electricity contracts for company car owners, have also been significantly streamlined thanks to the portal, which further reduces the workload of BLUME2000's fleet management. In addition, BLUME2000 fulfils its documentation obligations to the tax authorities.
Thanks to the introduction of the e-mobilio billing system, BLUME2000 also benefits from fully automated billing processes, which has significantly reduced the manual work involved in recording and reimbursing employee-related charging costs.
